Emer is professional harpist from Belfast who has particular experience in performing and teaching the harp. She has been playing for 18 years and has performed at weddings and functions across Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and the UK for over 10 years.
Having scored Distinction in all grade examinations up to and including grade 8, she has been awarded a Performance Diploma by the London College of Music.
Emer has adapted her music repertoire to cater for all tastes and can provide Irish traditional music, light classical music, modern and contemporary music to include movie soundtracks and pop songs.

If you are planning an upcoming corporate event or private function, Emer can bring sophistication to the event by providing background music to entertain your guests.
Emer has played for many corporate events including those held and organised by Parenting NI, Northern Ireland Hospice, Queens University Belfast and the Technology and Engineering Management Society.
Emer has also performed during many private functions including engagement parties, retirement parties and birthday parties.
Emer is available to play during other church services such as vow renewal ceremonies, baby naming services, baptisms and funerals.
Emer has considerable experience as a harp teacher and is available to tutor any student of any age or ability. Lessons are provided from Emer’s home in South Belfast however, depending on the location, lessons can also be provided in the comfort of the pupil’s own home.
Primarily, tuition in Irish traditional harp music is offered however the lessons can be focused around other types of music which the student wishes to learn.
Pupils will have the opportunity to be prepared for grade examinations up to and including grade 8. Emer’s pupils currently have a 100% pass rate for grade examinations with all of those entered achieving a merit or distinction award.
Extra help for GCSE or A-Level music practical is also offered.
Special arrangements can also be made for those pupils who do not yet have access to their own instrument. An instrument rental and lesson package can be offered depending on availability at the time.
